The Charts
Chart Compilation Disk
The Charts are a very long saga !
The first charts were released by the very first members of NeXT (Zae, Stwars, and Pulsar), around the year 1989...
The next ones were done by various people, and it was the moment when FFT, Mit, and I (Dbug) enter the crew.
Les 1ères Charts The first Charts
- The 1st charts, by Zae, StWars and Pulsar. Guest screen by AnCool from The Carebears (TCB).

Bijour missier DBug2...

Les Charts 2 The 2nd Charts
- The 2nd charts were composed of 4 different screens and were released in the 1st edition of the Disk Mag of the Lost Boys. The Intro screen by Dbug and Pulsar, with music from the game Atomix by Jochen Hippel (MadMax from TEX).

THE MUZAK I CODED YESTERDAY (VORTEX) WAS MADE BY AN COOL FROM TCB WITH HIS WONDERFUL TCB TRACKERVI BUT SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE THE REPLAY ROUTS. I HAD TO CONVERT IT FOR QUARTET, THE LAMEST SOUNDTRACKER I'VE EVER SEEN.

I'LL SOON RELEASE ORIGINAL MUZAXX, BUT I HAVE TO FIND OUT HOW TO CONVERT AVALON FILES TO QUARTET FILES . I OWN TWO SAMPLERS . MY GOOD OLD KORG DSS1AND A BRAND NEW ROLAND W 30 FROM WHICH I'LL DUMP THE SOUNDS RATHER THAN SAMPLE THEM .

NOW SOME INFORMATION ABOUT MY LIFE .
I'M 19 YEARS OLD , AND I'VE BEEN STUDYING ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING FOR 3 YEARS NOW , BUT I'M THE WORST CODER IN THE CREW .
THE REASONS WHY THEY ENROLLED ME IS THAT I'M NOT TOO BAD AT PROGRAMMING MUSIC , AND THAT I'M THE ONLY ONE HERE WHO SPEAKS AND WRITES ENGLISH QUITE WELL ...
MY FAVOURITE COM.SERS .ERIC SERRA (THE BIG BLUE SOUNDTRACK) VANGELIS , JEAN MICHEL JARRE , JOHN WILLIAMS , ENNIO MORRICONE ... THE MUSIC I CAN'T BEAR .

Les Charts 3 The 3rd Charts
- The 3rd charts were composed of 2 screens which were re-released in the Maggie Disk Mag.
The Intro Screen was from StWars (and the bad graphics and 3d shapes by all members of NeXT !), with music by Crispy Noodle from BBC.
The Charts screen was from Mit, with graphics by Pulsar.

Les Charts 5 The 5th Charts
- The 5th charts contains only one screen, coded by Mit and Dbug, with graphics from Pulsar and Dbug, and music from Lap.
These charts were using a mix of GFA basic and assembly code, that makes them failed when launched on a half meg ST from the desktop.
It's mainly a little spaceship game were you have to find text in a multidirectional start field.
You can fire to destroy an alien ship, there is a mini map were you can locate texts a saved high score table, and so on.
Les Charts 6 The 6th Charts
- The 6th, and last charts released were from Dbug and FFT, with music by Lap. This is a STE enhanced screen, using FullScreen and STE digisound.
These charts includes a (bugged) tic-tac-toe game :) Bugged because it's possible to win ! But since the complete game (keyboard handling, computations, and display takes less than 30 scan lines, I don't care...

At last, some of these screens were released in the Official Charts Compilation in 1992.
This disk contains additional items such as an intro screen (zoomed scroll of the bitmap. . .you can see on the Homepage, with the girl and the pig), a reset screen, an animated fast loader, a full screen main menu, some previews of the Phaleon Demo, and 2 final versions of screens published in other demo-disk.
You can download a ZIP file that contains some demos of the charts. If you don't have an Atari, you can use the PaCifiST atari emulator (see the link on the Internet page). But many of these screens use FullScreen or STE specific tricks. So, it's not sure that every screen will work perfectly !
